Adventure in Portobelo

This adventure takes visitors on a tour of the historic buildings of Portobelo, the colonial Caribbean city that served as the seat of one of the most famous colonial trade fairs. The tour includes visits to the forts of Santiago, Gerónimo, and San Fernando, the Customs Museum, a kayak trip and an afternoon on the beach with snorkeling. The tour starts at 7:00 a.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m. and includes a traditional lunch from this area of the Caribbean: coconut rice with octopus.

Inside Panama

There is no better way to discover how traditional products are made in the region of Azuero, in the central region of the country, than signing up for the “Hecho en Herrera,” (Made in Herrera) tour. This tour combines a visit to the sugar cane plantations —which provide raw material for making Panamanian Seco and rum— with visits to the salt flats on the Pacific side, the bakeries where the famous bread from La Arena is made, and the places where clay handicrafts are created. The tour lasts four hours.
