Panama will once again welcome interesting theater and contemporary dance productions from around the Americas and Europe at the 2021 International Theater Arts Festival (FAE). The event will take place August 4-8 at some of the Panamanian capital’s most significant and iconic venues, including the National Theater and the City of Knowledge Athenaeum. Eight Panamanian productions and five international offerings from Spain, the United States, France, México, and Portugal will be presented.
The theatrical works and dance shows will be performed live, with the venues observing all the health and safety precautions required by the Panamanian Ministry of Health, explained FAE producer and founder Roberto Enrique King. Although King has defined this year’s festival as “notably in-person”; he explains that the virtual educational component will consist of workshops, seminars, and master classes led by international experts from Cuba, Costa Rica, Colombia, and Panama.
