Enjoy the majestic landscapes of El Valle de Antón, settled on a volcanic crater, as well as a cooking class featuring the region’s many local flavors. This exclusive tour includes a visit to the Coclesana community’s forests, rivers, and countless trails, and a stop at the local fruit and vegetable market, where you’ll be introduced to locally grown products and many of the workers who grow them. As you get to know the products, you’ll select those needed for the cooking class that takes place at the home of one of the local residents. You’ll follow their instructions to learn how to make “carne mechada,” also known as “ropa vieja,” or “old clothes,” a flavorful shredded beef dish you’ll enjoy for lunch.
